Week 1 EOC: My Voice

Fashion basically rules everything around me. It is my main motivation and is what keeps me going through out school. It has been a dream of mine ever since I was little to grow up and be a part of the fashion industry. It’s always been something I really loved, and I can’t see myself doing anything else. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada; not exactly the fashion capital of the world. I always wished I could have grown up in New York City instead, where ALL the fashion is! However, it impresses me that slowly but surely Las Vegas is becoming more of a fashion city, with attractions like City Center; that feature high fashion shops. I’ve also been lucky enough to work Fashion’s Night out, which is an annual fashion show done one night a year, in all of the major cities around the world. I was surprised they did the show in Vegas as well, which again shows the rising interest in fashion in Las Vegas. 

The main thing I’d love to accomplish within the industry is strictly the business side of fashion. I love doing public relations, marketing and advertising with fashion. I’m not much of a drawer; so becoming a designer is out of the question for me. I find the business aspect of fashion much more interesting anyway. I’d love to eventually hold an important, high status position at a high end fashion designers office in New York.
